Hi there! I'm "Tikaboo Pete", an American UFO enthusiast currently residing in the Philippines. I named myself after Tikaboo Peak in Nevada, USA; the last vantage point that provides a view Area 51 at the Nevada Test and Training Range. Area 51 is a base where the United States military allegedly stores and tests extraterrestrial spacecraft.
My interest in unidentified flying objects dates back to my childhood and was born out of my love of science-fiction, particularly about space travel. I've read accounts of UFO encounters abroad in newspapers, books and magazines and they range from sightings of "flying saucers" to "alien abductions" and the fact that a lot of them seemed to defy explanation got me hooked.
UFO sightings are rare here in the Philippines; the most famous case is the so-called "dancing sun" that was witnessed by more than a hundred people in the 1980s. I have never seen a UFO myself although I did come close twice.
The first occurred in Quiapo where I, along with a handful of people, saw a swarm of black dots fill the sky. It turned out that the dots were actually balloons that were released during a festival held at the Quiapo Church. The second was in San Juan where my brother and I saw a curious cloud formation in the sky. My brother theorized that it might have been a vapor trail from an airplane although we both wondered why it seemed to stop in midair.
So I searched the Internet for news about UFO sightings around the world and I set up this blog to try and catalog such sightings and see what kinds of UFOs (discs, orbs, triangles, etc.) are seen and where. And I must say, this blog has changed my outlook on unidentified flying objects.
Check out my views on UFOs.
