(October 23, 2010) examiner.com reported that an unidentified flying object was witnessed in Alabama. The witness, a physicist, saw "bright lights at a distance" that "appear to be hovering, sometimes moving, and then just disappear".
The physicist, who is also an amateur astronomer and "well versed with aircraft" attended a lecture on rocket science and early NASA history when saw two objects near Jupiter that were said to be as bright as the planet itself. The objects faded away six seconds later leaving an "orangish" residual glow.
