One of the residents, John Pritchard, saw the UFO at 8:10 PM on March 12 and described it as an "orange light which then changed to a purple colour". He added that the "lights were moving quite slowly at first, then they sped up and zigzagged away". He thought it might have been an "aeroplane" but dismissed the idea as the object changed "colour".
The other, Kathleen Walls, saw the UFO in Pennal near Machynlleth. Walls and her husband witnessed what she described as an object that was "big in body all lit up with two lights either side of it". She added that the UFO might have been a bright star as saw it from miles away, She had difficulty filming the UFO saying, "it was jumping all over the shop".
