Meteor over the Midwest? at 11:14 PM

(April 16, 2010) Right Pundits reported today that a giant fireball was caught on film and video. The fireball, seen for about 15 minutes over the Midwestern United States, sparked frantic calls to 911.

The fireball was seen over Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Ohio, Illinois and Indiana on April 14. The video below, a composite of still photographs taken from a police dashboard camera, shows a large fireball streaking across the sky followed by an explosion and the appearance of a smaller fireball. Witnesses heard rumblings in the ground culminating in a sonic boom that shook houses and frightened small children and animals.
