(April 16, 2010) The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported today that unidentified flying objects were seen in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States.A witness in Alabama told of an encounter in Jacksonville north of Anniston along Highway 204 at 6;30 PM on March 31. The witness described a brief flash of lightning lasting 2 seconds that revealed a metal object in the sky. According to the witness, the metal object was a cigar-shaped and a quarter of a mile wide. It did not emit any kind of light or made any discernible movement.
In Roswell, Georgia; a witness reported seeing a UFO on at 9:27 PM on March 28. The unidentified flying object was described as a craft with a "single blinking light". The witness noted that the object was not a conventional aircraft as he observed it flying back and forth for 30 seconds before it descended rapidly and vanished.
On April 1 in Fernandina Beach; Florida, a witness saw a UFO and described it as made up of "large hovering lights covering the ground” in his backyard.
According to George Filer who writes the the UFO newsletter Filer's Files, there have been a lot of UFO sightings reported in Alabama, Florida and Georgia lately.
